Workshop: Reading Old Maps, with Paul Gosling & Eoin O’Neill

Annaghdown Heritage Society will present a workshop entitled “Reading Old Maps” in the Heritage Room, Old Girls’ School, Corrandulla on Wednesday, October 23 at 8 pm. (Eircode is H91 WEP0). The workshop co-presented by Paul Gosling, GMIT and Eoin O’Neill, Galway City Museum, will focus on using maps for local history research and use Annaghdown as a case study. They will bring along a selection of maps and will also look at digitized maps that are available online. The workshop is open to all members of the public, so, bring along your laptop, tablet or smartphone and see what the maps highlight in your locality. The talk will be followed by light refreshment and an opportunity to talk to guests.
