Annaghdown Heritage Society will present a workshop entitled “Reading Old Maps” in the Heritage Room, Old Girls’ School, Corrandulla on Wednesday, October 23 at 8 pm. (Eircode is H91 WEP0). The workshop co-presented by Paul Gosling, GMIT and Eoin O’Neill, Galway City Museum, will focus on using maps for local history research and use Annaghdown as a case study. Dr Christy Cunniffe will deliver a lecture entitled “A discussion of the Religious and Secular Iconography found on 18th- and 19th-century Funerary Monuments" in the AHS Heritage Room at the Old Girls' School, Corrandulla on Tuesday 26 November at 8pm.
