Hello, I’m wondering if anyone knows about a vault for the Blake family of Cregg Castle? Is it located here? I’m especially curious / hoping to find the resting place for …
    Francis Blake
Birth: 7 FEB 1789•Cregg Castle, Galway, Ireland
Death: 06 MAR 1869•Cregg Castle, Galway, Ireland
    And
Georgina Blake – born in 1790 in Glinsk – died on June 7, 1872, in Oranmore, Galway

Many thanks to anyone who can help & many thanks for all the great research and resources of annaghdownheritage.ie !!

      Hi Sheila,

The Blake vault is located to the rear of St Brendan’s Church in Corrandulla. It’s an underground vault with a flagstone over the entrance.

      Kind regards,
      Paul

(For such a speedy & informative reply!)

This is so wonderful to have confirmed.

Do you happen to know if there are any photographs of the flagstone / entrance?

I am just starting to learn more about my Great-Great-Grandfather.

Myself and my family are so grateful for this information!
